2025 Phoenix Desert Midwinter Championships Recap

The 2025 Phoenix Desert Midwinter Championships took place from February 11-16 at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, Arizona. This annual event drew a fantastic turnout of dedicated shooters from across the country, showcasing their precision and skill in one of the most anticipated matches of the year.

Despite some chilly weather and light sprinkles on one of the days, the match ran smoothly, thanks to the hard work of organizers, volunteers, and competitors who assisted in setting up targets, verifying scorecards, and ensuring the event’s success. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who contributed their time and effort to making this competition a great experience for all.

Match Highlights

Lisa Emmert Traciak emerged as the 2700 match winner with an impressive score of 2637-122. In the 3600 Match Gun category, the winners were as follows:

  • High Master: Lisa Emmert Traciak – 3500-149
  • Master: Mate Standard – 3440-110
  • Expert: Tucker Sears – 3316-089
  • Sharpshooter: Barbara Crouse – 3308-084
  • Marksman: David Crandall – 2593-026

A special congratulations goes out to Wayne Harris of Colorado, who was named the 2025 Desert Midwinter Ultradot Winner. It’s always great to see our optics being used by such talented competitors, and we appreciate the continued support from the shooting community.
