The 2024 Oregon State Precision Pistol Championships in Sherwood, Oregon, was a spectacular event and a fitting conclusion to this year’s competitive shooting season. With good weather and an enthusiastic turnout, the championships brought together talented shooters and passionate enthusiasts to celebrate precision shooting.
Meet the Champions
The highlight of the match was Chris Alto’s remarkable performance, earning him the title of 2024 Oregon State Champion with an impressive score of 2561-86X. Congratulations, Chris! Joining him on the podium were Roy and Craig, both of whom showcased outstanding shooting skills. The Distinguished Revolver (DR) match victory went to Craig with a 262-2X, proving it was a day of shared victories.
In the Excellence in Competition (EIC) .22 match, Simone claimed the leg points with a score of 263-5X, further emphasizing the high caliber of talent present at the event.
A Community United
The match wasn’t just about competition. It reflected the camaraderie and spirit that defines the precision shooting community. Special thanks go to Dick for expertly calling the match and to Roddy Toyota and Jim Brossard for their generous donations, which added excitement to the lucky draw.
Notably, Jim Brossard won the Ultradot grand prize—a well-deserved reward for his contributions to the event. Congratulations also to Chris Alto for securing his State EIC Silver Leg and to Simon Smith for his .22 Leg Match victory.
